


Increasing the functionality in epoxy resins by using epoxy novolac precursors instead of bisphenol A backbones allows formulators to achieve higher crosslinking densities and significant performance enhancements. A variety of epoxy resins are available with functionalities in excess of 2 up to 8. Epoxy novolac resins are broadly utilized as primary epoxy resins or as modifiers in multi-resin systems. High functional epoxy resins are preferred for high-performance:
